Job summary

Independence Rehab is seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Bellingham team at Orchard. You’ll work with residents in a skilled nursing setting, supporting rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care to achieve meaningful progress.

We value a patient-centered approach, ongoing education, and collaboration with therapists and the wider care team. Eligible applicants include WA-licensed OTAs with strong geriatrics interest.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State OTA license in good standing.
• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Organized, self-motivated, and patient-focused.
• Passion for geriatrics; SNF experience preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Treat a diverse SNF caseload with varying complexity.
• Perform and assist with transfers between settings.
• Provide adaptive ADL retraining and functional task practice.
• Collaborate closely with the evaluating OT and care team.
• Competency training available to support growth.

Independence Rehab is actively seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at Bellingham at Orchard, a well-regarded Assisted Living facility in Bellingham, WA.

About the Role

As a COTA in a skilled nursing setting, you'll work collaboratively with the therapy team to support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care-helping them achieve meaningful progress and improved quality of life.

SNF Practice Highlights

• Treat a diverse caseload, including occasional clinically complex patients

• Perform and assist with all types of transfers

• Provide adaptive ADL retraining and functional task practice

• Collaborate closely with the evaluating OT and interdisciplinary care team

Requirements
