Job summary

Advanced Health Care of Allentown is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering rehabilitative services to residents. You will assist with assessments, implement treatment plans, and help residents regain independence in activities of daily living.

This full-time role requires a current COTA certification, 1 year of experience, and state licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a COTA is required.
• 1 year of experience in similar field required.

• Strong clinical and communication skills to collaborate with residents, families, and team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in conducting assessments of residents’ functioning.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
• Provide hands-on guidance during therapy sessions ensuring safety and effectiveness.
• Use adaptive equipment and modify environments to promote independence.
• Document progress and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Coordinate care with therapists, nurses, and other staff.
• Engage residents and families to set goals and educate on techniques.
• Participate in team meetings and discharge planning as needed.
• Stay current with best practices and continuing education.
• Maintain licensure and adhere to professional standards.
