Job summary

Terrace Health & Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to work under an Occupational Therapist, providing rehabilitative services that help residents regain independence and improve their quality of life. This full-time position offers a flexible schedule and a supportive team environment.

New graduates are encouraged to apply; CPR/BLS certification and Florida COTA license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida COTA license (or eligible to obtain).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in a rehab or skilled nursing facility is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents in improving functional activities such as dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Observe and document patient progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques.
• Ensure all care is provided in compliance with state, federal, and facility guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records.
