Job summary

Terrace Health & Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support residents under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will help restore independence and improve quality of life through rehabilitative services in a patient-centered, interdisciplinary team.

The role offers full-time and per diem schedules, a signup bonus up to $2K, competitive pay, ongoing training, and a collaborative work environment that values

Qualifications

• Florida COTA license (or eligible)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in a rehab or skilled nursing facility is a plus but not required
• New graduates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents in improving functional activities such as dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Observe and document patient progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques.
• Ensure all care is provided in compliance with state, federal, and facility guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records.

Position Summary
