Job summary

Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville, FL is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will work closely with licensed OTs to help residents achieve rehab goals and improve daily living skills.

Responsibilities include executing treatment plans, leading therapeutic activities, documenting progress, and educating patients and families on home exercise programs.

Qualifications

• Certification as a COTA from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice as a COTA.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing individualized treatment plans.
• Lead therapeutic sessions to improve mobility and daily living skills.
• Observe and document patient progress for therapy teams.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercises.
• Collaborate with OT/PT/nursing and other staff for holistic care.
• Assist with selecting adaptive equipment and ensure safety protocols.
