Job summary

Journey in Frankfort, Kentucky, is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support the Occupational Therapist in delivering therapy services in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for working in long-term care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to enhance residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, including exercises of daily living (ADL) training and adaptive equipment use.
• Document residents’ progress and communicate updates to the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment while fostering meaningful relationships with residents.
