Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver best-practice treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist in a geriatric, long-term care setting.

You will document patient progress, coordinate with the OT and other disciplines, and maintain timely, professional care. All shifts are available and thecare team emphasizes high-quality patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide treatment adhering to goals developed by the OT.
• Provide feedback to supervision occupational therapist via documentation or as required by policy.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
