Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide effective, patient-centered care under OT supervision in a geriatric/long-term care setting.

You will document progress, support interdisciplinary teams, and uphold professional standards with timely notes and on-time attendance. The role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the OT.
• Communicate progress and feedback through required documentation.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.
• Maintain timely and accurate progress notes and documentation.
• Demonstrate professional behavior and punctuality.
• Fulfill duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
