Base pay range

$62,900.00/yr - $180,300.00/yr

Description

If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our Contracts Management team at APL.

We are seeking a Cost/Pricing Specialist to work with APL's Chief Estimator to provide leadership, guidance, and training to maintain APL's government-approved Cost Estimating System, ensuring consistency and accuracy across a range of cost proposals supporting federal contracts and grants within the Business, Construction and Facilities Department (BCFD), Contracts & Asset Management Group. You will collaborate closely with Contracts Managers, APL's Sector/Department's Accounting and Finance teams, as well as APL's sponsors and government auditors.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing support during cost proposal preparation and reviewing final proposals for compliance with FAR, TINA, APL procedures, and customer requirements.
• Partnering with Financial Management leadership to deliver training and resources on cost estimating best practices and proposal development.
• Handling special projects like rate analysis, proposal development, and manual maintenance.
• Supporting audits in collaboration with APL's Audit Liaison.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications if you...

• Hold a B.S. Degree in Business or related field with at least 3 years of experience with a federal government contractor, specializing in cost estimating and proposal development.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of federal contracting, Cost Accounting Standards, FAR, TINA, and DFARS requirements.
• Experience in contract negotiations and interfacing with government audit agencies.
• Are motivated, self-starting, with excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrate effectiveness across organizational levels and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency is required.

• Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management.
• Federal Contract or Subcontract Management experience, especially DoD-focused.
