Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our team supporting a large-scale life sciences and advanced manufacturing program in the Greater Philadelphia area. You will deliver cost management across multiple capital projects from planning through closeout.

This client-facing role requires developing project estimates, cost reporting, and cost control while coordinating with vendors and project managers. On-site presence may be required based on client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation is valuable.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium to large construction projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, manage vendor prequalification, assess proposals and bids.
• Develop project estimates for construction, fees, direct costs and other costs; review junior members’ estimates.
• Present estimates and value engineering recommendations to client; review with vendors.
• Manage cost reporting, budgets, spend forecasts and risk registers.
• Oversee cost control, change orders, and payment requisitions with stakeholders.
• Coordinate final accounting, post-contract audits and closeouts.
• Hold post-contract reviews to capture lessons and create training materials.
