Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to support a large-scale data center program in Ohio. The role is primarily site-based with regular on-site presence at the project site in Miami County, about 80 minutes from Cincinnati.

You will advise on strategies, develop cost estimates, manage reporting, and oversee invoicing and change orders while coordinating with stakeholders across multiple phases of construction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation is valuable or pursuing it.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium to large construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, prequalify vendors, assess proposals and bid documents, and participate in bid interviews.
• Develop project estimates for construction, fees, direct costs, and other expenses; review junior team estimates; present to client.
• Prepare cost reports and forecasts; manage budget; maintain a commercial risk register; run client meetings.
• Oversee payment applications, change orders, and contractor entitlements; resolve disputes per procedures.
• Monitor invoicing processes and benchmark performance against similar commissions.
• Lead post-contract reviews and develop training material from lessons learned.
• Create handover procedures and support cost management across planning, procurement, commissioning, and closeout.
