Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Cost Innovation project lead in Purchasing to drive cost reduction across SxS/ATV/PE/L&G products. The role collaborates with purchasing, production, and the GO team to meet cost targets and support new model development.

The position emphasizes CR ideation, supplier collaboration, and development of procurement strategies in a factory setting with potential overtime and travel based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree with 5 years’ experience.
• 9+ years of related work experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Centralized management of CR ideas in a database using Honda’s global CR database.
• Promoting CR in mass production design changes by integrating CR ideas with DEB and applying to mass production.
• Optimizing manufacturing processes in collaboration with suppliers and by modifying drawings for ease of production.
• Development of new suppliers in collaboration with purchasing.
• Formulation of a parts strategy and procurement strategies that include specification evolution.
