Job summary

US Farathane is hiring a Cost Estimator to support our Corporate Tech Center located on-site in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The incumbent will process quotations for new work and engineering changes, and prepare cost requests for management review.

The role requires reading technical drawings, understanding plastic injection molding costs, and familiarity with automotive OEM forms. Strong math, Excel proficiency, and effective communication are essential as you manage multiple quotations and

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical drawings and evaluate data to determine processes and tooling.
• Understanding of plastic injection molding processes and related costs.
• Familiar with automotive OEM forms and cost standards.
• Proficient with Windows software (Outlook, Excel).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong math background.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and price quotations for new work and engineering changes by reviewing data, drawings, or documents.
• Prepare internal and external requests for supporting costs.
• Use cost estimating models to present pricing and investment for approval to Senior Management.
• Process and present pricing in the customer’s format.
• Create and maintain quotation records in electronic databases and files.
