American Axle & Manufacturing Inc is seeking a Senior Cost Estimating Analyst in Detroit, MI to lead cost evaluations for castings, stampings, machining and related tooling investments. You will prepare forecasts, analyze depreciation, working capital, and rate of return while coordinating with Engineering, Purchasing, and finance teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 4–6 years in automotive cost analysis, proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems (Oracle/SAP), and willingness

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred.
4–6 years automotive cost estimation experience.
Experience with castings, stamping, machining.
Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and MS Office.

Responsabilités

Evaluate and analyze cost changes for products/processes.
Costing Engineering BOM for new and current programs.
Support Purchasing for market-competitive sourcing.
Update cost analyses with real-time quotes/technical data.
Coordinate with Engineering, Cost Estimating, Purchasing and suppliers.
Travel to plant and supplier sites ~15%.
