Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking an Engineering Cost Estimator to analyze product specs and determine labor, material, and other costs for plastic and metal parts.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and engineering to prepare quotations, select tooling, secure vendor pricing, and present final prices for management.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in engineering, strong math and Excel/CAAD skills, and proven ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in engineering or equivalent experience required.
• Experience estimating piece price and tooling for automotive projects.
• Strong math, communication, and reading blueprints required.
• Proficient with CAAD software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for labor, materials and other costs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and engineering to finalize quotes.
• Identify tooling and process requirements to meet customer specs.
• Secure vendor pricing and apply cost factors for pricing.
• Provide final price recommendations to management for quotes.
