Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Cost Engineer in its Central Engineering group in Ohio. The role focuses on standardizing cost management processes, improving reporting, and delivering reliable cost forecasts to support project decisions.

You will help set up projects, monitor costs, and develop dashboards across multiple projects. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in cost engineering or project controls, a Bachelor's in a related field, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• 2+ years of cost engineering, project controls, or construction accounting.
• Strong understanding of cost management principles and workflows.
• Experience with cost management or project systems (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, Viewpoint, Procore).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead project budget setup and cost structure development in line with estimates and company standards.
• Monitor and analyze costs, commitments, and expenditures across multiple projects.
• Develop and maintain standardized cost reports, forecasts, and dashboards.
• Support project teams with budget setup, cost tracking, and forecasting processes.
• Review subcontract, purchase order, and change order data for accuracy.
