Job summary

WSP USA in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a Cost Controls Specialist to join the Project Controls team supporting Power & Energy programs, including transmission lines and substations. You will forecast, track budgets, run cost reports and support earned value management.

Collaborate with project managers, finance, schedulers, contractors, and clients while using EcoSys, Procore, Oracle, e-Builder or similar PMIS to manage budgets and cost reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cost controls / project controls on capital projects.
• Forecasting, budget tracking, variance analysis, cost reporting, cash flow tracking, commitments, accruals and change control experience preferred.
• Experience with EcoSys, Procore, Oracle, e-Builder, Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar PMIS tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor project cost control processes for Power & Energy projects.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cash flows, cost reports, accruals, and commitments.
• Track actual costs, invoices, change orders, and cost coding for accurate cost management.
• Perform variance and trend analysis; support EVM and financial controls.
• Produce regular cost reports and dashboards for leadership.
