Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Cost Controls Specialist to join the Project Controls team supporting Power & Energy programs, including transmission line and substation projects. The role can sit in Dallas, Tulsa, Corpus Christi, or Nashville offices.

You will forecast, budget, and monitor costs, perform variance analyses, and deliver reports and dashboards to project leadership, collaborating with PMs, finance, schedulers, contractors, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management or related field; equivalent cost controls experience considered.
• 7+ years of cost controls/project controls on capital projects.
• Forecasting, budget tracking, variance analysis, cost reporting, cash flow tracking, commitments, accruals, and change control experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP/PMIS tools such as EcoSys, Procore, Oracle, e-Builder, Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of earned value management (EVM) and project financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor project cost control processes for Power & Energy projects.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cash flows, reports, accruals, and cost projections.
• Track actual costs, commitments, change orders, invoices, and cost coding for cost management.
• Perform cost variance and trend analysis, and support earned value management.
• Produce cost reports and dashboards for leadership; communicate risks and decisions.
