Job summary

Bridgepoint Consulting, An Addison Group Company, is seeking Accountants at all levels of experience with strong cost accounting and inventory experience to join our Atlanta team and support our clients on interim and project-based accounting engagements.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience with mid-size companies.
• Experience with manufacturing accounting, inventory management, and building and maintaining job costing models.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
• Partner with plant managers and operations teams to identify cost savings opportunities and improve manufacturing performance.
• Perform inventory accounting, including reconciliations, reserves, and valuation.
• Lead or support physical inventories and cycle count programs while investigating inventory discrepancies.
• Preparing and/or reviewing monthly account reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and GAAP research in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to adapt to various client environments and communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support interim and project-based accounting needs for clients.
• Lead or support inventory-related activities and costing analyses.
• Develop and maintain standard cost models for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
• Collaborate with plant managers to identify cost savings and improve manufacturing performance.
• Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance.

Bridgepoint Consulting, An Addison Group Company, is currently seeking Accountants at all levels of experience with strong cost accounting and inventory experience who want to join our growing Atlanta team, tasked with supporting our clients in a wide range of interim and project-based accounting needs.

You’ll be a great fit if you have experience in:

• 5–8 years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience with mid-size companies
• Previous experience with manufacturing accounting, inventory management, and building and maintain job costing models
• Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
• Partner with plant managers and operations teams to identify cost savings opportunities and improve manufacturing performance
• Perform inventory accounting, including reconciliations, reserves, and valuation.
• Lead or support physical inventories and cycle count programs while investigating inventory discrepancies.
• Preparing and/or reviewing monthly account reconciliations
• Demonstrating a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience researching technical GAAP issues within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to adapt to various client environments, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization

Highly Preferred

• Work experience with both public and private companies
• Experience in middle-market manufacturing organizations ($50M-$500M revenue preferred)
• Hands on experience with ERP systems such as:
• Microsoft Dynamics
• NetSuite
• Epicor
• Infor
• SAP Business One
• Oracle
• Plex

Preferred

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or MBA
• Prior employment by a Big 4 or other nationally recognized accounting firms
