Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience with mid-size companies.
• Experience with manufacturing accounting, inventory management, and job costing models.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Partner with plant managers to identify cost savings and improve manufacturing performance.
• Perform inventory accounting, including reconciliations, reserves, and valuation.
• Lead or support physical inventories and cycle counts; investigate discrepancies.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Work on cost accounting and inventory-focused projects for clients.
• Analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
• Collaborate with operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support inventory reconciliations, reserves, and valuation processes.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and GAAP research as needed.

Bridgepoint Consulting, An Addison Group Company, is currently seeking Accountants at all levels of experience with strong cost accounting and inventory experience who want to join our growing Austin team, tasked with supporting our clients in a wide range of interim and project-based accounting needs.

You’ll be a great fit if you have experience in:

• 5–8 years of hands‑on full-cycle accounting experience with mid‑size companies
• Previous experience with manufacturing accounting, inventory management, and building and maintain job costing models
• Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
• Partner with plant managers and operations teams to identify cost savings opportunities and improve manufacturing performance
• Perform inventory accounting, including reconciliations, reserves, and valuation.
• Lead or support physical inventories and cycle count programs while investigating inventory discrepancies.
• Preparing and/or reviewing monthly account reconciliations
• Demonstrating a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience researching technical GAAP issues within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to adapt to various client environments, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization

Highly Preferred

• Work experience with both public and private companies
• Experience in middle‑market manufacturing organizations ($50M-$500M revenue preferred)
• Hands on experience with ERP systems such as:

• NetSuite
• Epicor
• Infor
• SAP Business One
• Oracle
• Plex

Preferred

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or MBA
• Prior employment by a Big 4 or other nationally recognized accounting firms
