Job summary

Augmentis Group is seeking a Cost Accountant for a manufacturing client in California. The role partners with operations to optimize gross margin, manages inventory costing, and updates cost rolls with new rates.

You’ll support P&L preparation, standard costing, and margin reporting for strategic decisions. The ideal candidate holds a BA in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years in cost accounting in manufacturing, and is proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems such as Infor Visual

Qualifications

• BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
• +2 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expert in financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects with targeted timelines and costs.
• Strong knowledge of Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint; Infor Visual Manufacturing and Infor Global Financials desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations Management to improve operational excellence.
• Manage cost accounting transactions in line with US GAAP and costing policies.
• Ensure inventory valuation accuracy with costing analysis and cycle counts.
• Provide analysis and support to achieve cost reduction goals.
• Assist in daily and monthly P&L preparation.
• Update standard costs for each work cell and communicate margin analyses.
• Prepare costing data for major business decisions and lead annual inventory counts.
• Support ERP upgrades and Lean initiatives as needed.
