Turner Construction Company in Cleveland is seeking a Cost Accountant II – Operational Finance to provide financial administration, cost analysis, and guidance for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

You will partner with the Operations team to review budgets, monitor billing and cash flow, manage month-end close, and support internal and external audits while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with at least 3 years of experience.
• Proficient application of GAAP and company policies.
• Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analyses and cost guidance for projects and complex contracts.
• Review project budgets with Operations and reflect risks and opportunities.
• Monitor billing and receivables; escalate issues as needed.
• Oversee month-end close, AP for vendors/subcontractors, and cost reporting.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and participate in audits and reviews.
