Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Toledo, OH seeks an experienced project finance accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations for construction projects and deliver transparent financial reporting.

You will guide project teams on Turner policies, support audits, and improve billing and WIP processes, collaborating with Shared Services and operations to ensure GAAP compliance and timely forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial policies.
• Experience in project accounting and financial reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for project Finance accounting questions and escalated issues.
• Mentor accounting staff on Turner financial policies and workflows.
• Provide training and support to accounting staff using established materials.
• Audit client billing and project ledgers for contract compliance and GAAP alignment.
• Collaborate with Shared Services on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities.
• Monitor WIP and percentage of completion for projects and report variances.
