Plainville Farms is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage the standard cost system and assist in month-end close, including inventory valuation and cost of sales reconciliation. The role ensures inventory and manufacturing costs align with GAAP and help drive cost improvements.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 2–3 years of cost accounting, with strong Excel/ERP experience. Knowledge of Navision is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-3 years cost accounting experience, preferably in food processing.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and bills of materials.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills; ability to relate effectively with a variety of people.
• Ability to organize and manage time effectively.
• Advanced experience with Excel and Word and with an ERP system; Crystal Reports a plus.

Responsabilités

• Set and maintain standard costs in conjunction with supply chain.
• Analyze changes in products, ingredients, raw materials, and production methods to determine effects on costs.
• Coordinate monthly physical counts of inventories; enter monthly inventories and analyze variances.
• Maintain the bill of materials in Navision to reflect materials used and produced.
• Support monthly financial closing by preparing journal entries; reconciling inventories, revenue, costs of goods sold, and balance sheets.
• Perform other business cost analysis and related duties as assigned.
