Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Tulsa manufacturing client to fill a Cost Accountant role focused on analyzing manufacturing costs, maintaining inventory valuations, and supporting financial reporting.

The position collaborates with production, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure accurate cost accounting and informed business decisions. A degree in accounting/finance and 3+ years of cost accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and standard costing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze product costs, labor costs, and manufacturing overhead.
• Maintain standard cost systems and update product costing as needed.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and cycle count analysis.
• Prepare and analyze cost variance reports, including material, labor, and overhead variances.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including inventory and cost accounting entries.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning processes.
• Analyze manufacturing performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure inventory valuation and reporting comply with accounting standards.
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as required.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost controls and reporting.
