Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking an Adjunct/S substitute for the Cosmetology program to teach assigned courses across times and locations as needed. This is a pool to fill part-time/adjunct assignments on an as-needed basis, with interview scheduling by the department if interested.

Applicants must reside in Texas and be eligible to work in the United States. Employment is contingent on a criminal background check and reference checks.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required for Adjunct position.
• Current Texas Cosmetology licensure.
• Three (3) years work experience in cosmetology.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline.
• Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.
• Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
• Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
• Teach lecture and laboratory courses as assigned.
