Job summary

L&R Distributors is seeking a field merchandiser to service retail stores in Indiana with up to 25 hours per week. The role involves stocking, organizing, and displaying products, implementing planograms, and supporting store resets across multiple territories.

Training on Repsly and scanners is provided, with opportunities to move to full-time with performance. Responsibilities include merchandising resets, order accuracy, photo documentation, and strong communication with store staff.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising or retail experience.
• Familiarity with resets, planograms and store footage is a plus.
• Retail sales and inventory control knowledge are a plus.
• Ability to safely use a ladder or step stool to access higher fixtures, signage, and products on elevated shelves.
• Ability to conduct physical work, frequently lifting up to 50lbs.
• Proficient with tablets and smartphones.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Place orders for inventory according to store guidelines using a tablet and scanner (Repsly).
• Service store routes according to call frequencies with the District Manager.
• Follow store visit processes, merchandise delivery, and update task forms with photos.
• Implement planograms and schematics to reset displays and fixtures according to instructions.
• Ensure resets meet L&R’s standards and project timelines.
• Install/adjust shelving and fixtures to align with planograms.
• Process customer returns per guidelines and maintain stock levels.
• Maintain knowledge of promotions, invoicing, exchanges, and returns.
• Communicate with Store Management and Associates after each visit.
• Conduct store surveys/audits and take photos to resolve issues.
• Support additional stores as needed.
