Applied Laboratories seeks a Setup Technician to support production operations through machine setups, changeovers, equipment adjustments, startup checks, and basic troubleshooting. Responsibilities

  • Perform machine setups, changeovers, startup checks, and equipment adjustments on production equipment.
  • Respond to equipment issues and determine whether they can be resolved within the Setup Technician scope.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments or repairs.
  • Escalate issues to Maintenance when problems require advanced repairs or fall outside the role.
  • Communicate equipment issues clearly and assist Maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Follow GMP, quality, safety, lockout/tagout, and hazardous energy control requirements.
  • Document equipment issues, troubleshooting activities, and corrective actions.
  • Support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.

Job description

Applied Laboratories is seeking a Setup Technician to support production operations through machine setups, changeovers, equipment adjustments, startup checks, and basic troubleshooting. This role serves as the first point of technical support for production equipment issues and works closely with the Maintenance team to help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform machine setups, changeovers, startup checks, and equipment adjustments on production equipment.
  • Respond to equipment issues and determine whether they can be resolved within the Setup Technician scope.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments or repairs.
  • Escalate issues to Maintenance when problems require advanced repairs, additional expertise, or fall outside the role's scope.
  • Communicate equipment issues clearly and assist Maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Follow GMP, quality, safety, lockout/tagout, and hazardous energy control requirements.
  • Document equipment issues, troubleshooting activities, and corrective actions.
  • Support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
  • Manufacturing, machine setup, equipment operation, maintenance, or related technical experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of machine setups, changeovers, startup checks, equipment adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify equipment issues, elevate appropriately, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to follow setup procedures, production requirements, safety rules, and equipment documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, teamwork, and independent work skills.
Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing environment and requires compliance with safety, GMP, and PPE requirements. The role involves working around production equipment, accessing elevated and restricted areas, and performing physical tasks associated with equipment setup and troubleshooting.
