Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a corrosion technician to apply corrosion knowledge and skills to repair, install, troubleshoot, analyze, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance on equipment, facilities and pipelines.

The role includes cathodic protection system design, field surveys, and regulatory compliance tasks with opportunities to grow within a 12,000+ employee organization. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and related experience.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate ability to read SOPs and regulatory docs.
• Experience in corrosion control or pipeline integrity is preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for field work.

Responsibilities

• Under general direction, design, install, operate, inspect and maintain cathodic protection systems within an assigned pipeline segment or facility.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA regulatory requirements and complete required documentation.
• Investigate and analyze corrosive conditions for existing and proposed facilities.
• Ensure corrosion control compliance of pipelines, compressor stations, or plant facilities.
• Conduct pipe-to-soil potential surveys and related readings; document findings in corrosion databases.
