Job summary

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. in Texas is seeking a skilled Corrosion Technician to apply corrosion knowledge to repair, install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, facilities, systems and devices across gas and liquid pipelines.

You will perform cathodic protection design, conduct surveys, evaluate coatings, and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements, while training others and supporting safety audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residency.
• MS Office Suite proficiency required.
• Ability to train other technicians and sign off on qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, operate, inspect, and maintain cathodic protection systems.
• Maintain regulatory documentation (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
• Investigate corrosive conditions for facilities and perform mitigation.
• Conduct pipe-to-soil potential surveys and related readings.
• Evaluate coating condition and perform repairs as needed.
• Generate corrosion control and annual reports; manage data.
