Job summary

Rehabilitation & Correction - Southeast Correctional Institution in Lancaster, Ohio is hiring for a permanent, full-time Corrections position. The role oversees inmate work, ensures security, trains inmates, and maintains records in a structured, policy-driven environment.

You will enforce rules, manage supplies, handle data in ERP, and contribute to quality control and safety within the workshop. Applicants undergo standard pre-employment checks and ACA-related procedures.

Qualifications

• Arithmetic training including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• 18 months' training or 18 months' experience directing workers.
• 3 months' training or experience in employee training and development.
• Asbestos-related courses if assigned to asbestos program (AHERA).

Responsibilities

• Oversees work of incarcerated individuals assigned to the OPI workshop and/or engaged in service delivery.
• Provides security and custody of incarcerated individuals.
• Trains incarcerated individuals in proper work methods, equipment operation and safety practices.
• Enforces institution rules and regulations.
• Maintains control of supplies, equipment, and tools; issues and records daily usage.
• Assigns and reviews work; schedules inmates and monitors performance.
• Ensures quality control specifications of products.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports of workshop activities.
• Inputs data into ERP and manufacturing system.
• Oversees equipment maintenance and workshop cleaning.
• Escorts and/or transports incarcerated individuals.
• Oversees shipping, receiving, storage and inventory.
• Completes payroll, inmate reports and performance evaluations.
