Job summary

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) in Marysville, OH, seeks a supervisor for the OPI workshop. You will oversee incarcerated crews, ensure safety and compliance, manage supplies and ERP data, and coordinate maintenance and reporting.

The role requires experience in correctional environments, strong leadership, and ability to train staff. Work location is the Ohio Reformatory for Women with a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Formal arithmetic knowledge including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• 18 months training or 18 months experience directing employees.
• 3 months training or 3 months experience in employee training & development.
• Asbestos-related coursework for OPI if assigned.

Responsibilities

• Oversees work of incarcerated individuals assigned to the OPI workshop and/or engaged in service delivery.
• Provides security and custody of incarcerated individuals.
• Trains incarcerated individuals in proper work methods, equipment operation and safety practices.
• Enforces institution rules and regulations.
• Maintains control of supplies, equipment, and tools; tracks usage and inventory.
• Assigns and reviews work; monitors performance and conducts quality checks.
• Ensures quality control specifications of products.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports of workshop activities.
• Inputs data into ERP and other manufacturing systems as assigned.
• Oversees equipment maintenance and workshop cleaning.
• Escorts and transports incarcerated individuals.
• Oversees shipping, receiving, storage and inventory of products and materials.
• Prepares and submits reports; completes payroll and performance evaluations.
• Attends trainings and participates in committees; supports ACA files.
• May be assigned to other OPI shops as needed.
