Job summary

Aramark at London Correctional Institution in London, OH seeks a Corrections Oversight Worker to supervise inmates during food preparation, ensure production plans are followed, and maintain sanitation and safety standards. The role includes training staff, coordinating work, and enforcing HACCP guidelines.

This position requires the ability to motivate inmates, manage portions and dietary needs, and obtain a food safety certification, with security clearances as required.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members to attain quality and quantity of food production in a correctional work environment.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must follow basic safety procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and review/approve production and temperature logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and adherence to Aramark guidelines.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Direct inmates in the use of Aramark recipes and proper cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are fulfilled.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies; secure storage areas and keep keys.
• Determine work procedures and sanitation schedules; ensure adherence by staff.
• Assist in inventory, receiving, and storing of food and related items.
