Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Transport Driver to securely move detainees between facilities and ensure vehicles are well maintained and safe. The role requires a CDL with Passenger endorsement and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

Applicants should be able to work overtime, travel as needed, and pass DOT drug and alcohol tests. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities within GEO Secured Services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have CDL Class B or C with Passenger endorsement.
• Must complete 80 hours of DOT-approved driver training.
• Certification in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip, during-trip, and post-trip vehicle inspections and file DVIRs.
• Ensure licenses and permits are current and report issues to the Transportation Manager.
• Verify safety equipment before trips and report problems.
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely.
• Secure detainees prior to departure and maintain security during transport.
• Follow all safety laws, regulations, and internal policies during transport.
• Notify authorities with detailed information in case of an accident.
• Deliver vehicles for servicing and pick up when ready.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
