The position emphasizes supervising personnel, implementing security procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation to support successful facility management and overall outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years in a correctional setting, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrates maturity, adaptability and resilience under stress.

Responsibilities

• Supervises security/control activities and staff in an assigned area, ensuring detainee safety and proper record-keeping.
• Assists in developing and implementing custody, security and treatment policies and procedures.
• Responds to major unusual occurrences and provides prompt assistance to detainees.
• Directs work, training, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Prepares records and reports; maintains daily logs; ensures compliance with procedures.
