Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Security Supervisor within GEO Secured Services to oversee detainee supervision and safety. The role focuses on coordinating security operations and ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience in a correctional setting and the ability to manage staff, respond to incidents, and maintain accurate records. This position is based in Folkston, GA and requires on-site work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• College coursework and advanced training in behavioral sciences, correctional services or related field preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in a correctional setting, with supervisory responsibilities.
• Ability to remain mature, calm under stress, and command respect of detainees and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises security/control activities and staff in an assigned area.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures for custody, security and treatment of detainees/inmates.
• Responds to major unusual occurrences and provides prompt assistance to detainees/inmates in emergencies.
• Directs the work of other employees including hiring, training, evaluations, promotions and disciplinary actions.
• Prepares records and reports, maintains daily logs, and ensures proper training on procedures.
