Staff Today Inc is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Marion, North Carolina for an on-site correctional healthcare setting. The role involves patient assessment, medication administration, and care coordination during an 8-hour evening shift (1:30 pm - 10:00 pm).

Qualifications

• Active NC RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience within last 3 years.
• Primary Source Verification (PSV) from licensing board if required.
• Current BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope of practice.
• Maintain EMR accurately and timely and ensure quality documentation.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Local Pay: $53.00/hour- W2 Travel Pay: Travel Rate (based on 40 hours): Hourly $31.03, Stipend (Lodging $770.00 + M&I $476.00) = $1,246.00 Total Comp:$2,487.20

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a RN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
