Job summary

City of Indianapolis Marion County seeks a supervisor to oversee front-line team members at Marion County Community Corrections facilities. The role includes supervising client processing, arrivals/releases, phone calls, and GPS monitoring, with on-call duties 24/7 and potential managerial duties in the supervisor's absence.

You will help ensure evidence-based practices, staff accountability, and effective data-driven decision making, while coordinating with partners and courts to support public

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years’ experience in corrections or the criminal justice system.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Requires knowledge in leadership, management, personnel and process performance measurement, investigative principles and practices used in ensuring compliance with appropriate state and federal laws, regulations and requirements of court evidence, and training.
• Must be able to interface with the public regarding procedures and explain court decisions.
• Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Enforce policies and procedures in line with federal, state, and local laws.
• Ensure emergency plans are in place and team-members are trained.
• Investigate, fact-find, interview, and analyze information including complaints.
• Prepare statistics and reports to evaluate programme performance.
• Assist in development of policies, procedures, and grant reports.
• Interact with citizens and clients regarding grievances.
• Monitor client treatment plans and programme participation for compliance.
• Attend court hearings and staff cases with supervisors.
• Staff cases for referrals and supervise front-line staff.
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices for community corrections and vendors.
• Coordinate with state and local agencies and partners.
