Job summary

Marion County Indiana Sheriff's Office is seeking personnel for Inmate Logistics to manage case tracking, holds, and release decisions. The role requires accurate data entry into the Offender Management System and coordination with various agencies.

You will read court minutes, maintain documentation, and operate IDACS/NCIC/NLETS systems, while supporting the public and court processes. A 24/7 rotating schedule is required, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school education or HSE required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Must obtain and maintain IDAC/NCIC certification.
• Ability to comprehend various computer programs and enter data accurately.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and radio equipment.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Track inmate cases and holds to determine release, transfer, or confinement.
• Update Offender Management System with case and housing data.
• Ensure all required documentation is received and completed.
• Utilize email and IDACS/NCIC/NLETS systems.
• Calculate inmate release dates and coordinate with Community Corrections/IDOC.
• Assist the public and other agencies by email, in person, and by phone.
• Process bookings for new arrests or warrants and coordinate with processing staff.
• Maintain current skills with directives, procedures, and laws.
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and orderly.
