Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Certification in CPR, AED, TIME System, and Breath Examiner Specialist (training provided).
  • Must pass background checks, drug screening, and medical/physical exams.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise inmates and inmate activity in detention facilities.
  • Manage inmate holding areas and ensure custody.
  • Transport and escort inmates in secured areas.
  • Perform searches on inmates and visitors for contraband.
  • Enforce facility rules and inmate accountability.
  • Conduct headcounts and inventory personal property.
  • Provide emergency assistance including CPR and first aid.
