Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license; no felony convictions.
• Completion of agency training; Jail certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security and control in the jail.
• Intervene to stop disturbances and ensure order.
• Administer first aid when needed.
• Conduct searches and inspections.
• Surveillance of inmates.
• Care and custody of inmates.
• Prepare reports and paperwork.
• Work weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime as shifts require.
