Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing has a travel nursing opportunity for a Corrections LPN in Tazewell, VA. The role involves providing general and urgent nursing care within a corrections facility, while adhering to security standards and facility policies.

The position requires an active LPN/LVN license, at least one year in corrections, CPR if applicable, and compliance with health and regulatory requirements. Travel, 13-week contract, 36 hours per week, and a weekly pay of $1509 apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current LPN/LVN license in the practicing state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections.
• CPR certification, if applicable.
• TB screening: questionnaire, PPD or chest X ray as applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and emergency nursing care in the Corrections Facility.
• Maintain facility security standards while delivering nursing care.

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse/ LicensedVocational Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and juvenilesin custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in theMedical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintainingfacility security standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possesses a current LPN/LVN license in state practicing
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections required
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
