Job summary

Staff Today Inc. seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for night shifts in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role requires an active NC license and at least 1 year of recent LPN experience. You will provide basic nursing care, administer medications, monitor vitals, and document care in a correctional healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Current, valid NC LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1+ year LPN experience in the last 3 years.
• PSV document from licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Required certifications: BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist with patients’ healthcare needs.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocols.
• Check vital signs, monitor patient conditions, report concerns to healthcare team.
• Assist with routine health screenings, sick calls, and basic nursing procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document care provided.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines.
• Assist patients with basic healthcare needs and perform other nursing duties.

Local Pay: $39.00/hour - W2 Travel Pay: Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $18.03, Stipend (Lodging $693.00 + M&I $329.00) = $1,022.00 Total Comp: $1,671.08 Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Shift Details

12hr Nightshift - 6:00 pm - 6:30 am

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist with patients’ healthcare needs.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Check vital signs, monitor patient conditions, and report concerns to the healthcare team.
• Assist with routine health screenings, sick calls, and basic nursing procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document care provided.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines.
• Assist patients with basic healthcare needs and perform other nursing duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a LPN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).
