Job summary

Staff Today Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Imperial, CA team.

The role involves direct patient care under supervision, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and contributing to individualized care plans in a correctional healthcare setting. You will document care in the EMR, educate patients and families, assist with admissions and transfers, and maintain a safe environment in accordance with policy and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• CA license in good standing to practice as LPN in California.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent LPN experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current BLS certification and other client-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of RN or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in condition.
• Assist with assessments and care planning.
• Perform wound care and specimen collection as needed.
• Document care accurately in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families on health plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Maintain safe, clean, and therapeutic environment; follow infection control policies.
