Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a correctional kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared according to production plans. You will train staff, coordinate tasks, and uphold sanitation and safety standards in a secure facility.

The role requires the ability to manage shifts, review logs, and maintain compliance with HACCP policies while prioritizing efficiency and safety in a demanding environment. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old.
• Minimum of 1 year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members in a correctional environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain preparation and production guidelines per Aramark standards.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Direct inmates in use of recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are fulfilled.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Maintain security and lock storage areas when required.
• Assist in inventory and storage of food items.
