Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a correctional kitchen, train and coordinate staff, and ensure meals meet production plans with strict sanitation. You will oversee safety, logs, portions, and dietary needs while maintaining security and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include training on recipes, directing inmate work, inventory, and adherence to Aramark standards. The role requires ability to work in a correctional environment and obtain food safety

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 1 year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates to meet production goals.
• Must obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and tact.
• Must follow safety procedures and policies and obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain preparation and production guidelines by reviewing logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Prints and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in the use of Aramark recipes and train on proper cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and fulfillment of dietary requirements.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies; secure storage areas.
• Return kitchen tools and keys to their designated areas.
• Determine work procedures, schedules, and sanitation plans.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, and storage; requisition orders.
• Support in production and postproduction steps for meals and items.
• Follow HACCP policies and proper food handling procedures.
