Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Correctional Food Service Supervisor I to oversee large-scale food production in an all-custody facility. You will supervise Correctional Food Service Officers and oversee offenders in daily food preparation and serving.

Responsibilities include menu planning, sanitation, inventory control, and use of a computerized food and nutrition system to prepare daily meals for the offender population.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation and large-scale food production.
• Experience supervising food service staff and offender workers is preferred.
• Ability to manage inventory and menu planning, including substitutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee large-scale food production inside an all-custody facility.
• Supervise food preparation and service of regular and therapeutic diets for offenders.
• Coordinate plans, direct, and supervise daily food preparation and serving.
• Maintain sanitation, storage, and recordkeeping; operate the computerized food system.
