Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook to join our Walterboro, SC kitchen for the Corrections division. You will work with a motivated team in a fast-paced environment to prepare and present high-quality meals and ensure proper storage and safety practices.

The role emphasizes scratch cooking, portion control, and accurate use of kitchen equipment while delivering solid customer service in a correctional setting. This is a part-time, onsite position at Colleton County Detention Center.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume setting with scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and differentiate food items.
• Customer service experience is required.
