Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: 18+ years old, high school education or equivalent, valid driver's license, and ability to legally possess firearm and ammunition.
• Preferred qualifications: 1 year corrections experience and knowledge of trends in culture that affect organizations.
• Experience in gathering intelligence and conducting interviews in a prison setting; ability to prepare statistical reports.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from video reviews, phone calls, electronic messages, contraband cellphones, facility reports and interviews.
• Analyzes information to create intelligence products to assist with daily operations and decision making.
• Identifies trends and threats that affect facility security.
• Inmate/offender monitoring may be direct or indirect.
• Enforces facility rules and regulations governing the conduct of inmates/offenders.
• Documents inmate/offender behavior, status, and movement.
• Searches inmates’/offenders’ person, quarters, and work areas for contraband.
• Recommends improvements to security procedures when appropriate.
• May be required to provide support to other facilities as needed.
