Job summary

Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking an Institutional Intelligence Analyst for the Division of Adult Institutions. The role focuses on locating, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence from Missouri’s prisons, including wire communications and offender systems.

The position may involve statewide travel and requires four or more years of related experience or corrections work, plus a high school diploma or equivalent. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of correctional experience and a high school diploma or equivalency.
• Or four or more years in financial/resources investigations, law enforcement, or related fields with a high school diploma or equivalency.
• Earned college credits may substitute on a year-for-year basis for up to three years of the required experience (30 credits = 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Locate, analyze and disseminate intelligence in Missouri's prison.
• Maintain knowledge of intelligence sources (offender phone/email system, recording equipment, offender management system).
• Monitor offender wire communications to identify criminal activity.
• Provide analyzed intelligence to Institutional Investigators, law enforcement, facility administrators and SIU.
• Compile reports on intercepted communications to aid interdictions of drugs and contraband.
• Develop actionable intelligence for facility safety and public protection by pursuing leads.
• Assist in investigations of suspected violations and interview staff, victims and witnesses to obtain evidence and write case summaries.
• Testify in criminal, civil, or administrative proceedings.
